OUR CHAMBER

The UK-Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce (BECC) was established in 2022, with the support of the UK Government’s Department for International Trade (DIT) and the Ethiopian Embassy in London, as a member-based trade association to facilitate and promote bilateral trade between the UK and Ethiopia via the three platforms of networking, advocacy and trade services.

The UK-Ethiopia Chamber of Commerce (BECC) the leading UK business support organisation in Ethiopia, is a bilateral chamber dedicated to increase trade and investment between Ethiopia and the United Kingdom

The Chamber provides exceptional support for its members through the sharing of knowledge and ideas, creating platforms for building stronger networks and providing linkages with Government and its agencies. One of its key focus is to see Ethiopia become a significant economic partner for the UK as an export market, import source, investment destination and vice versa. It exists to further the business interests of its members across both countries and create more business opportunities. The Chamber is backed by the British Chambers of Commerce in the UK.

By working together, we can help businesses of all sizes achieve more as we are the only organisation helping UK businesses build relationships at all levels in Ethiopia and even other African countries. Within our network, we can connect your business locally, nationally and internationally to other businesses, decision makers and opportunities. In addition, we are a respected voice for business. We work closely with the Ethiopian Embassy in London and the British Embassy in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia on the other hand, presents a very exciting opportunity for foreign investors. Not only is it one of the fastest growing economies in Africa, but it also has a large, cheap and young workforce. Its main goal is an ambitious but not unrealistic one: To become a middle-income country in the next decade.
